Thompson Flax Seed Oil 300capsules
Thompson's Flax Seed Oil 1000 provides essential fatty acids are just that - essential for growth and development throughout the human lifecycle. They must be included in the diet of pregnant women, premature infants, full-term infants, children, young adults and elderly adults. Humans, like all mammals cannot manufacture Essential Fatty Acids. A healthy human body uses Omega 3 or Alpha Linolenic Acid (derived from Flaxseed Oil, Salmon, Sardines, and Canola Oil) and Omega 6 Linoleic Acid (derived from Evening Primrose, Sunflower, Safflower Oil) to produce prostaglandins, tiny chemicals responsible for regulating actions in the body such as the widening and narrowing of arteries, the onset of inflammation, clotting of blood, and combatting fever and pain.
What is Flax Seed Oil?
Flax Seed Oil is a rich source of valuable Omega 3, providing 60% Alpha
Linolenic Acid (Omega 3), 20% Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) and 20% Oleic Acid (Omega 9). Flax was traditionally grown for its fibre, which was woven into linen cloth. Its seeds were used for linseed oil.
Thompson’s Flax Seed Oil is extracted by ‘cold-pressing’, the mechanical extraction of the oil from the seed, at a temperature less than 50 degrees Celsius, before undergoing filtration. No chemicals are added. After filtration the oil is nitrogen blanketed and stored at low temperatures to avoid oxidation. The oil is encapsulated in Non-gelatin capsules providing a well-sealed environment which prevents oxidation and maintains freshness of the oil – this results in a high quality product which is rich in Essential Fatty acids.
